Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : September 2003- September 2005 (Grays Cosmos) •I started my Football Career at the Age of 5 in which I played as a Central Midfielder. As the seasons went on I got asked to play in a striker position and scored a few goals for my team. September 2005-September 2008 (Stanford Wanderers) •At the age of 7 I moved to a new team and played in the Essex League for two seasons and also became the second goalkeeper. September 2008 – September 2013(East Thurrock United) •It was in this year the team moved to East Thurrock United, in which I played in a variety of position from Midfielder to striker. •It was in 2010 that I played in goal permanently for the team. This was the Season the team was runners up in our League and we reached the Final in the Cup. September 2013 - Present (Gt Wakering Rovers) •I am currently at Great Wakering Rovers and play for the U16’s & U18’s EJA team Managed by Steve Southgate; once I am 16 years old I will then also sign for the reserve team. Other Achievements When I was 9 years old I had trials for Tottenham as a Central Midfielder, before I went in goal permanently. In 2012-2013 spent 1 year at Brentford FC playing in goal and played against teams like QPR, Arsenal, Mill Wall and Reading on Saturdays. I have attended the Reading PDC and use to train with them every Friday and play other Academy teams. This year (2013) I had trials and got picked to play for the U16’s Essex Rep School Team and the U16’s Essex County team, in which we won the League. For the past 2 years I have been going goalkeeper training at the Paul Griffin Goalkeeper Academy. For the last two months I have been training at the Sells Academy in goalkeeping. I am on a 6 week trial at Dagenham & Redbridge for a football Scholarship (April 2014)
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I have been training as A Goalkeeper for the past three years now and have come a long way since then. I get trained 3 times a week by a private coach and have learnt the following skills: • Basic ball handling • Speed, agility and balance • One on one situations • Distribution • Diving • Shot stopping • Positioning • Ball familiarity • Dealing with crosses • Starting positions • Communication • Mentality • Small sided games
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I am hard working and always give 100% in training and matches as I want to progress in my football career. Also I have achieved so much in the little time of being a goalkeeper which shows my determination to make it at a high level. At the moment I have been given the opportunity to trial for a scholarship which is something I am very grateful for and will also work hard till I achieve and succeed in making it as a professional goalkeeper.
