Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : As a former member of the Air Training Corps I represented Glasgow and the west of Scotland area in a tournament which included the rest of Scotland and Northern Ireland. My team progressed to the final but unfortunately lost 1-0, however we had the best goal record. I was the goalkeeper for the team and I only conceded one goal throughout the whole tournament but the one was in the final so we did not reach the UK tournament. I have taken part in many secondary school tournaments in which the majority of the participating teams offered me a place in their team for the next year. I was playing all across defence for these games
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I believe am a quality player with the right mind for defensive duties whether acting as a wide player or centre back. I refrain from lunging into tackles when unnecessary but can perform standing or sliding tackles when required. I can mark tightly or at different distances if the opposing player is particularly skilled with his feet and requires a different style of defence to avoid getting beaten. If playing as a wide defender I can push forward to assist my team mates if they need me to do so with some pace and strength to hold off any opposing players.I am fairly tall, currently standing at 6 feet and 1 inch. My height allows me to have a greater presence in the box either attacking or defending.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I believe that it is important to assist wherever and whenever my position allows me to. I put in the work and have a high work rate on the pitch. I am adaptable and can alter my position or style when asked to, I could also retrain myself to new positions and style if I needed to. Listening to the coaches instructions and advice is crucial to help in my development and I can follow instructions well. Team work is vital in football and I can work well with other players. I had to be able to when I was entered into the Air Training Corps with only a few hours of working with my team mates. I prefer to do things for the good of the team and not to perform any risky actions that are unnecessary.
