Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I haven't had a long experience in Football i started my first season at the age of 13 for Anstey Swifts F.C which i became Player of the year. I have just got back into football to play for Loughborough Academy which over a hundred people attended the trials to grab a place in the Academy and i impressed in the trials. I have made a vast improvement since my trials, attending 2 hour long 1-2-1 training sessions with a goalkeeper coach every week, he's very impressed in my ability and makes time and effort to improve my ability to make me an even better goalkeeper because he believes i'm good enough to make it as a professional. Loughborugh College Academy do play at a high club level week on week playing other clubs with a number of Academy players in their squad. The number of man of the match's and clean sheets are increasing week on week which really shown the improvement of my ability.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : iMy strengths would definitely be my shot-stopping ability with my coaches and players claiming that i have the best shot-stopping ability they have witnessed. I also believe my courage to dive into tackles and one on ones is a strength of mine with coaches claiming 'i'm as brave as a lion'. I do believe that if i worked on my kicking and handling a bit more to get them to the same standards as my shot-stopping then i can become a brilliant goalkeeper and others around me believe so to. I take pride in the fact i'm very confident going into games but never arrogant because i believe confidence plays a huge part in goalkeeping you have to be loud and be confident enough to claim crosses and to take risks. I also am proud of the amount of effort i put in for my team and to become a better goalkeeper attending extra training sessions with my goalkeeper coach to improve my ability aswell as attending training for my team 3 times a week which i give my all in.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I feel i deserve a trial because of the fact i've never been watched by a scout or had trials before so i believe this is my chance to compare my ability against other quality goalkeepers which i've never had the chance to do. The amount of effort i've made to improve my ability to become the best is staggering a lot of players would not think they need room for improvement but everyone does i'm one who can admit that to myself and practice as much as i can because i do believe in the saying 'practice makes perfect' and perfection is my aim. I've always had an ambition and dream of becoming a professional footballer at an early age. As a little boy i would be in my garden persuading my brother to take some shots at me everyday so maybe one day i can reach that standard and live my dream of becoming one of the best's as Peter Schmeichel has always been my idol.
