What happens to young footballers who are desperate to follow their dreams of playing
professional football despite failing to secure an academy position?
U12's Trial is Saturday 7th June 2014 ( 10:00am till 1:00pm )
U13's Trial is Sunday 8th June 2014 ( 10:00am till 1:00pm )
A solution is provided by Birmingham City’s innovative Junior Blues Programme.
By providing access to high-class coaching, fantastic facilities and close links with a
professional club, players are able to maximize their chances of ultimately turning professional.
Birmingham City Football Club has entered 4 teams at U13,U14,U15 and U16 age
groups into the Nurf Junior Premier League. All players have had access to superb
training facilities at Wast Hills, Birmingham City Football Club’s training ground using
the state of the art indoor dome and high quality grass pitches. Also coaches by highly
qualified and experience UEFA B and A licensed coaches.
The idea behind the programme is to provide players with the opportunity to
develop technically, athletically and ethically in a professional environment.

There are also fantastic opportunities that can arise from playing in BCFC
Junior Blues teams these can include the opportunity to be offered trials and
experience within the academy, match day tickets for Birmingham City FC, be
involved in 1st team match day activities.
Birmingham City Community Trust has close to links to a variety of different professional
football clubs and those who don’t secure a academy place at a professional football
club will be give the opportunity to trial for our ground breaking football and education
programme for 16 – 18 year olds.
Birmingham City Football Club are also looking to expand across a variety of different
age groups for next season and will also be holding trials to recruit for next seasons teams.
